Glass and Windshield Markers
MarkingPenDepot Glass Markers come in four different types
- Solid paint markers for permanent marks on wet and cold windshields. Sakura and Tow Pro are stocked in 11 colors. These are the markers of choice for auto auction sites and salvage yards where a permanent mark is desired and removal by razor blade is acceptable.
- Felt tip, xylene or non xylene based. Xylene based markers like Unipaint or Auction pro make permanent marks on wet or cold windshield and are available with versatile chisel tips. Other felt tip markers such as MPD 15 can be used successfully on dry windshields and offer significant cost savings.
- Removable markers are rain resistant and can be removed with Windex. Posca, Autowriter, and Bopagla are popular in this category. These markers are used for temporary marking in collision shops and take a few minutes to dry. There are some broad tip markers in this category that are excellent for sign making on any glass surface.
- The last category is water soluble or water removable. These markers are suitable for temporary marks and are removed with water. Car washes and car rental agencies are typical users of these products.
